About Us

The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem will hold its 8th Jerusalem Ball on November 5th 2022 to raise funds for the work we do in the Holy Land. Our Christian brothers and sisters in the Holy Land are now facing some of the most challenging times since the Pentecost. Their need for our support and help is greater than ever.

The Order is named after the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, located in the Old City in Jerusalem. Since the 11th Century, the Order has helped to protect, restore and conserve the Church and various other sites of significance to Christians in the Holy Land.

Over the centuries, the Order has spread its focus beyond mere bricks and mortar to what we call the ‘living stones’ of the Holy Land; its people. The Christian presence now accounts for less than 2% of the total population of the Holy Land and continues to fall. They face many difficult challenges as well as economic hardship.

Though rooted in the past, the Order’s work is thoroughly modern and forward-looking and provides funds for programmes in education, housing and employment – projects which are essential for maintaining and sustaining a Christian presence.

The Jerusalem Ball is a fun night in pleasant company and surroundings in which all the profits from the night will be ploughed into the projects run by the Order in the Holy Land.
